SYMPOSIUM “SPATIAL PLANNING IN THE DANUBE REGION.
A COMPARISON OF SERBIA AND AUSTRIA”

The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna in cooperation with the Republic Agency for Spatial Planning in Belgrade and the Vienna University of Technology, was organising a symposium with Prof. Dr. Borislav Stojkov – Director of the Agency for Spatial Planning in Serbia. Time and venue: Vienna, December 2nd 2010, Universität für Bodenkultur – BOKU, Festsaal This was an invitation to a follow-up symposium of the “Balkan” conference, which took place at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in 2004. The strategic concept of this conference was to promote a higher degree of territorial integration across European regions, with the target to achieve a sustainable, harmonious and balanced development. We were continuing on this idea with a symposium to ask the question: “what we can learn from each other in terms of Spatial Planning.”
