With systems analysis problem solving, evaluation has a high significant value in spatial planning. Evaluation procedures have to consider the impact on system goals and on stakeholders of different alternatives and choosing the problem solution. If we use careful ecological accounting in permaculture it provides an accurate measure of the environmental impacts of design, allowing these impacts to inform the design process.
